All Downstage Center Female Presenting Dancers must wear appropriate dance clothes.
Required For All Dance Classes, Predance-Level IV.
Capezio Dance Tights (Tan, Pink or Black). Hip Hop III & IV tights optional. (do not buy tights from Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc. Must be Capezio Dance Tights)
On Top: Leotard or form fitting tank top/sports bra. No T-Shirts beginning Sept 2026. (Except Hip Hop III & IV)
On Bottom: Spandex material Dance Shorts or Dance Leggings. No athletic/gym/sports shorts.
Ballet I & II: Ballet skirts must be worn to participate in class.
• Musical Theater: Movement-Comfortable Clothes. No jeans or dresses. Tights not required.
DO NOT WEAR
-Jeans, zippers or any Denim material clothes, cargo pants, etc…
-Sweat Pants/Shirts (can be worn for warm up then must be removed for class. Allowed in Hip Hop III & IV)
-School Clothes, Gym clothes, Sports clothes
-Pajamas
-Smart Watches (prohibited in the dance room)
ANYTHING THAT YOU COULD WEAR TO SCHOOL OR OUTSIDE WITH FRIENDS IS NOT DANCE CLOTHES. ONLY DANCERS IN PROPER ATTIRE ARE PERMITTED TO DANCE. Questions? Email Dani
If an instructor feels that a dancer is not dressed properly, they will be asked to call home for a change of clothes or sit out.
Male Presenting Dancers- Athletic Wear. No Jeans/Denim.
Tights and other dancewear is available for purchase at Downstage Center Dance Studio

Dancers must have proper dance attire on to participate in class.
